Our Inspiration

I watched my father work his whole life out of necessity, not love. I wanted something I could be a part of every aspect of its growth. In my 20’s, I purchased a limousine. Over 10 years, 1 turned into 16. During that time I made a difference. I created jobs & set industry standards. I was the president of our state association and a national board member. In 2002 I sold the company. I needed a new direction & discovered a small rural community, Momence. They had lost their thriving downtown to a mall in the 70’s. They had the determination to revive their historic downtown, just not the finances. I thought just rehabbing the empty buildings was the answer. Instead it created a challenge, how to fill these properties with unemployment at an all-time high. I sought out start-up businesses that shared my entrepreneur passion. I shared what I learned, asking that they share their industry knowledge with others. Businesses have started, jobs created & the downtown is coming back to life.
